UNICEF Cambodia, in collaboration with the National University of Management (NUM) and Institute COMPASS, is launching a Policy and Program Evaluation Certificate Course aimed at Cambodian policymakers and postgraduate students.
Designed to strengthen Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) capacities and promote evidence-based decision-making, this 32-hour intermediate-level course will be accredited with university credits at NUM. The curriculum is being developed based on a comprehensive needs assessment, ensuring it aligns with the priorities of Cambodian policymakers.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to institutionalize M&E competencies and build long-term capacity within public institutions. The project is set to unfold over one year, with plans to secure additional funding for advanced-level modules in the second and third years of implementation.
By fostering a culture of rigorous policy evaluation, this course is expected to enhance public sector effectiveness, accountability, and transparency in Cambodia.
