The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Panama have successfully launched the third Training Program on Results-Based Budgeting (RBB). The first module, focused on Strategic Planning, was delivered by expert trainers from Institute COMPASS to 300 civil servants from national government agencies between January 13 and 24, 2025.
This initiative is a milestone in strengthening the implementation of RBB, as MEF has introduced two key annexes alongside the National Budget, now available on its official website.
The training will continue with two upcoming modules:
✅ Results-Based Budgeting (RBB) – February 2025
✅ Monitoring and Evaluation – March 2025
By equipping public officials with essential skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and evaluation, this program aims to enhance fiscal transparency, efficiency, and accountability in Panama’s public finance management.
