COMPASS Institute is participating in the Central Asian Civil Society Forum, to be held on September 17, 2026, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The event brings together representatives of government institutions, civil society organizations, international organizations, media, experts, and analysts from across the region.
In the Forum, Dr. Frédéric Martin, President of the COMPASS Institute, is presenting “Cooperation Mechanisms Between Public Sector and Civil Society to Enhance Public Policy Performance: Comparative Perspectives of Canada & Latin America.” Drawing on his extensive international experience, he highlights how Results-Based Management, participatory monitoring and evaluation, co-design, citizen engagement, and other cooperation mechanisms can contribute to stronger collaboration between governments and civil society and improve public policy performance.
The presentation also emphasizes the importance of strengthening capacities in both the public sector and civil society and of promoting shared responsibility throughout the results-based management cycle.
